Timothy Puglia

You may have seen the little blue ‘TMT’-icon on various pages and you may have been wondering what it could mean. ‘TMT’ is an abbreviation coined by my friends describing what I am like. Work experience

Concept & strategy developer

Nov 2021 - May 2022

For my graduation project, I designed an integrated travel solution for an efficient and seamless travel experience. Both strategic opportunities were identified, and a working prototype was developed.

Mar 2020 - Sep 2020

Over a six-month period, the team developed a vision, did research using new technologies, and designed and built a fully functional prototype. My tasks were sound research, light research and electronics.

Servitisation strategist

Sep 2019 - Mar 2020

Gaining insights on the internal motivation of employees and leading the interviews held at the headquarters. A roadmap was constructed for the next decade which included a prototype for their upcoming experience room. Barco mentioned that they already implemented various aspects we presented during the project.

Industrial Design Engineer

Sep 2017 - Jul 2018

Working as an industrial design engineer in a multidisciplinary team developing an autonomous vessel that participated in the international Roboboat competition in Daytona Beach, Florida. My job was to design the model in a 3D environment, conduct CFD-analysis, building the vessel, acquisition, contact with our partners, logistics and financial tasks.

2018 - 2022

Double master's degree at the Delft University of Technology. Graduated in May 2022 with an 8.5. The emphasis of the Integrated Product Design Master's programme is on conceptualisation and embodiment design, by applying systematic state-of-the-art theories and methodologies, and by integrating user, technology and business aspects.

Double master's degree at the Delft University of Technology. Graduated in May 2022 with an 8.5. The focus of the Strategic Product Design Master’s programme is on the business context of product and service design. This can be the context of large international corporations, strong design consultancies, or start-up entrepreneurship.

Working as an industrial design engineer in a multidisciplinary team developing an autonomous vessel. The minor preceded the Trident Delft project and constructed the theoretical foundation for the project.

My BEP (bachelor end project) was focused on finding a new market for FieldLab UPPS and designing a body-scanning solution for gyms.

Writing articles in the field of design and technology and creating accompanying vector illustrations for four issues (7.500 prints per issue).

ID Study Association

2017 - 2018

The TOC (Technical Support Committee) makes sure all events by Study Association ID become a reality. This includes the biggest annual student festival of the Netherlands with over 1500 visitors, the Industrial Design Business Fair and many more.

IO Festival: Technical Designer

IOF (Dutch: Industrieel Ontwerpen Festival) is the biggest annual student festival of The Netherlands with over 1500 visitors. Even better, as opposed to the other festivals organised by students that are for the most part being outsourced, IOF is entirely designed, planned and built by students. In total there were 3 stages, 6 bands, 10 DJ’s and all tickets were sold out. My job was making the plans for all technical aspects and overseeing about 30 people during the construction week.
